The content is sourced from a vast array of studios, both established names and smaller, independent productions. Let's first take a look at the basic browser version. It offers streaming by visiting povr.com (limited to 2k, 1920p resolution).
Navigating POVR.com is generally straightforward. The interface is clean, modern, and intuitive, making it easy to find specific content. Robust search and filtering options allow users to sort by genre, performer, studio, and tags, ensuring efficient content discovery.

There are two apps you can use to get up to 8k streaming quality:

Let's take a look at the apps:

It's easy to use, but also very basic app:

- Search works well, you can also combine several search terms. For example manual search of model name “Anissa” with a tag from the tags menu “8k”, to only get 8k video results for a specific model.
- You get access to the highest video resolutions available on POVR
- No missing videos
Cons
- No image sharpness setting
- You cannot change the refresh rate
- You cannot change resolution
- Passthrough is not supported
Heresphere App
It offers up to 8k streaming using H.265 codec. You use the built in browser to go to https://povr.com/heresphere, it then loads the Heresphere interface for POVR.
Navigating Heresphere is not as straight forward as StartVR, but it is the most feature rich player out there. If you are the type of person who enjoys going into advanced settings and tinkering with everything until it’s fully optimized. This is the app for you.

Heresphere Passthrough
POVR.com itself and the StartVR app does not offer passthrough functionality. However, the Heresphere app does. I am myself a tinkerer, I like to go into advanced settings and optimize. But even so, I am thrown off by how hard it is to manually remove backgrounds from videos in Heresphere. So many settings that don’t help much compared to the native apps offered by VRPorn.com & VRSmash.com (PLAY'A VR app) or SexLikeReal.com (DeoVR app).
So for passthrough, I would give POVR.com a pass.
1.4 Streaming Quality
Browser: In general, browser streaming is not very useful, even for older devices, due to its 2k quality limit (1920p). This resolution is insufficient for newer high-resolution display devices like the Quest 3, as the video appears blurry and exhibits significant pixelation. Even older devices, such as the Quest 2 or VR smartphone headsets, benefit from videos above 2k resolution for enhanced clarity.
StartVR app: The streaming quality is good. But if you mainly want to watch 8k content Heresphere is the better choice due to it's image improvement settings.
Heresphere app: With the Heresphere app, the video result in the end, will be slightly better if you spend time tinkering with the settings. The settings can be saved, so it might be time well spent if you are into it this kinda of thing.

1.5 Device Compatibility:
Browser: Compatible with virtually every VR headset, including popular models like the Oculus Quest/Quest 2, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, and various mobile VR headsets. It also supports newer devices such as the Meta Quest 3, Pico 4, and Pimax.
Heresphere app: Works with headsets that support SteamVR or Meta standalone headsets.

Personally, I found out about them in 2017. Their terms and conditions document was created in April 16, 2015, so they have been around for a long time. Definately legit.
2.1 Customer Support Quality
They definately have a support speed priority:
- Support forum (once you sign up you will get access to their support forum in the footer, this is the fastest way to get help)
- Documentation (comprehensive but stopped being updated a long time ago it seems)
- Email (can take several weeks to get answers, basically don't use this)
Support is adequate, but you get answers faster on the competing VR Porn aggregator sites VRPorn, SexLikeReal & VR Smash.

Setting up passthrough manually for every video can be a hassle. If you own a headset with color passthrough, SexLikeReal is the better choice, as they are currently at the forefront of passthrough implementation.
Additionally, if you're into Asian girls, SexLikeReal offers a much larger selection of that type of content.
